Michael Holmes - Freezin' for a Reason - 31 Cold Water Swims

It would take a very good reason for our CEO Michael Holmes to brave the elements EVERY MORNING IN JANUARY for a COLD WATER SWIM with no wet suit!

The reason for Michael's swims is the need for new toilet facilities and showers for pupils at our Hope365 Academy. ​We’re aiming to raise money to build the first of two new toilet and shower blocks and your support could make all the difference. 

Right now, our school doesn’t have separate toilets for boys and girls, which means many teenage girls are forced to miss school each month due to lack of privacy. And since most of our students come from homes without proper washing facilities, these new showers will be life-changing, giving every child the privacy, dignity, hygiene and comfort they deserve.

Michael has even joined the “Re-use Revolution” and to add to the fun he will be wearing a variety of specially re-fashioned swimwear made by a volunteer from donations of material in our shops. The theme is “100 years of swimwear!”
